# Stella Smart Report Status Definitions

## What do the report statuses mean?

Every report carries a status showing where it is in its life. You'll see it as a colored label next to the report's name, and it decides which group the report sits in within your **Report List**.

### The seven statuses

| Status | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| **Draft** | Still being defined in the chat. Nothing has been built yet. |
| **Pending** | Accepted, but waiting on a data connection or a subscription before it can run. |
| **Waiting** | Accepted and queued, while Stella works through other reports. |
| **Working** | Stella is building or updating the report. |
| **Ready** | A version has been produced and is waiting for your review. |
| **Active** | Approved, and running on its schedule. |
| **Archived** | Stopped and no longer listed. |

### How they group in the Report List

The Report List collapses those statuses into five headings, so related reports sit together:

| Group | Statuses it contains |
| --- | --- |
| **Active** | Active |
| **Ready** | Ready |
| **Working** | Working and Waiting |
| **Pending** | Pending |
| **Drafts** | Draft |

Archived reports appear in no group — they're hidden from the list entirely.

### Draft

Your conversation with Stella, saved as you go. Click the report in your Report List to pick the conversation back up where you left it.

### Pending

The report has been accepted, but something has to be in place before Stella can run it — either a connection to your property management system, or an active subscription. The panel on the right tells you which, and gives you the button to get it moving.

### Waiting

The report is queued. Stella works through reports one at a time, staying with each until it's right, so there's nothing for you to do here — it will move to Working on its own.

### Working

Stella is building the report. The panel on the right shows what's happening and what comes next. The Stella team may get in touch with a question while a report is in this state.

### Ready

A version has been produced and needs your review before it goes live. Open it, read it, then either approve it or ask for changes in the chat drawer.

### Active

The report is approved and running on its schedule. Each run adds a new version, which you'll find in the panel on the right and in the date picker at the top of the page

### Archived

The report has been stopped and no longer appears in your Report List.

**Proceed with caution when archiving a report.**

Archiving cannot be undone. Versions that have already been produced stay in the Google account associated with the report and remain readable there, but the report itself is gone from Stella and won't run again.
